Mark Chapman
He's the Radio One sports reader and Scott Mills sidekick. Hes also the man wholl be presenting the New Football Pools Euro 2008 podcast this summer, if he ever stops celebrating Man Uniteds title win that is. Meet Mark Chappers Chapman
As a die hard Man United fan you must be chuffed with the title and being in the Champions League final?
Yeah I am. Im also chuffed that Chelsea beat Liverpool in the semi final though, a United versus Liverpool final would have been unbearable. All the plastic United and plastic Liverpool fans all think it would be a good idea, but the real fans understand that it would have been truly horrible!
How was your recent tour around British grounds with Comedy Dave for Sport Relief?
It was brilliant; it always amazes me how welcome were made to feel at all the clubs. Even clubs that, really, like Liverpool, could have said to a Manc and an Everton fan, balls to you. But they were great and had a bit of a laugh with it. Football and footballers dont often get good publicity but when there is a good cause then by God do they pull the stops out to help you and they were fantastic.
On a scale of one to ten, ten being hilarious, just how funny is Comedy Dave?
Minus one.
So we take it his nickname is ironic
Yes, very much so!

They’re one of Britain’s best live bands and have got more anthems up their sleeve than the Coldstream Guards. That said, they are Leicester City fans, so it’s not all good news for KASABIAN and their lead singer TOM MEIGHAN…
First things first. How are you coping as a Leicester fan at the minute?
It breaks my heart. I’ve been going down there since I was 9 years-old, I vaguely remember David Pleat and when we used to get like 8,000 at Filbert Street. We’re a sorry club at the minute and it’s horrible. We’ve got 24,000 going down, all those people grafting all week to see that and it just isn’t good enough. It’s horrible.
So what’s gone wrong?
The thing is with football, compared to the 90’s and in the 80’s, is that it seems to me that these players are just like agents; they just turn up, they’re like “I’m just going to play this weekend, then get transferred to Bolton or wherever, I’ll move”. It just seems really strange to me.........
