Not the first to have swapped Catalonia for Castilla - Luis Enrique and Michel Laudrup are other distinguished players to have moved between the two Spanish giants, but hirsute Luis's move caused such a stir that a pig's head was thrown on the pitch during his first return to the Nou Camp in Madrid colours. They obviously thought he loved his pork.
Sol Campbell
Club Captain, England international and fan' favourite. Sol Campbell was the pride and joy of Tottenham Hotspur. So burning effergies were the least of his worries when he decided to earn his money with them over the road. Arsenal fans thought it was hilarious.

Not many manage to win teh hearts of Mackems after a move from Newcastle, especially a born and bred Geordie. Clark did though by starring in a record-breaking promotion, only to throw it all down the pan by being photographed with Newcastle fans wearing a "Sad Mackem B******s" t-shirt. Michael Chopra beware.

Leeds are always losing their best players, more often than not to Man Utd - Jordan, McQueen, Ferdinand, Cantona, the list goes on. But the one that hurt the most for Leeds fans was Alan Smith's move across the Pennines in 2004, not least a) his hometown club had just been relegated b) he once said he would never play for Man United
